I am just starting this way of eating.....I need to lose about 100 pounds and diabetes, heart disease, and kidney disease runs in my family.  So, I am expecting good health also.  My hardest part of the no flour, will be not having pizza.  Does anyone have a good substitute for the crust????  Help!

There's a recipe for pizza on the site....the crust is made from sweet potato and oat bran....it's very good!

As Tony Robbins says, "Nothing tastes as good as thin feels."

Ezekiel brand makes flourless english muffins, bread and tortillas. They are in the frozen part of the natural section at my grocery store. Anyway, I use the tortillas to make veggie pizzas in the toaster oven everyday for lunch - delicious - it's oviously a thin "crust," but it is sturdy.

I once dated a celiac who would use puffed whole grain brown rice as the crust for pizza. You put the marinara, cheese, toppings on then cook at  low heat to melt the ingredients... Not more than 10 minutes because the crust gets soggy. Unless you don't mind it cold, then I'm sure itd be even more delicious. He'd also use those for peanutbutter jelly, tuna fish salad, and all sorts of sandwiches. I think that they are okay since they are salt and sugar free and they are whol grain brown rice.

I too use the Ezekial muffins to make pizza. I put about a tablespoon of sugar free spagetti sause and some Motzerella cheese and chopped mushrooms. Put it in the toaster oven for a couple of mins. Yum!

I used an Ezekial tortilla last night to make a pizza & it was DELICIOUS. It was crispy & tasted like a thin, crispy pizza. I would really recommend giving these a try!

Shannon, I'm celiac also and wondered what you meant by the term whole grain brown  rice.  Do you mean something like rice cakes to use as a crust?  I know the quaker rice cakes are not supposed to be safe but I'll look for others if you know of another product.  Thanks for any info you can give me.
