Hey,

Does anyone out there backpack?  I am trying to figure ways to stay on program and still hike 10 hour days and have enough energy to do so.  I have breakfast figured out and getting better with dinners but not to good at on the go lunches.

You could make your own trail mix....soy nuts, raisins, (if you have a lunch fruit), puffed wheat for the grain, cacao nibs or 1 Tbs nuts for the fat.  Take a bag of carrots or another finger veggie.

Cheese sticks are a good protein to take along too.  V8 juice is also a good take along easy veggie....it depends on how intense of a hike you are doing....also Triscuits for a grain.
