My Sponosor wasn't sure about this and forgot to ask her Sponsor (and I keep forgetting too).

Where do Dr. Praeger's Veggie Burgers (from Trader Joe's) fall into the food plan?  I've read it would be a soy protein.  What do you guys think?  Not sure if it would be grain too because of the Oat Bran!

Ingredients: Carrot, Onion, String Beans, Oat Bran, Soybeans, Zucchini, Peas, Broccoli, Corn, Soy Flakes, Spinach, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Red Peppers, Arrowroot, Corn Starch, Corn Meal, Salt, Parsley, Black Pepper

Does anyone know? :)

We would just leave that alone...it's too mixed up.....Boca burgers fit in the plan though.

Thanks Sandee!

What do you mean by "too mixed up?"

What is a Boca Burger considered?  1 protein? part grain?  Part vegetable?

The vegetables, grains and protein is all mixed up....you can't tell how much of each it has or how much to count as each...too mixed up.

Boca Burgers are soy protein....8 oz = 1 serving protein.....or you can make a cheese burger....4 oz boca burger, 1 oz cheese....double check the label though....it's been years since I've bought them.

Sunshine Veggie burgers are good.  The Barbeque flavor has sugar, but the garden herb and southwest do not!
